Drink at the Library Bar, Ritz-Carlton Dubai

The Library Bar in Ritz-Carlton Dubai was the first bar I visited once I moved to Dubai, UAE.

After hearing so many stories about the legendary Library Lounge in the Ritz-Carlton New Orléans I’m excited to visit Dubai’s version! Recently Library Bar was re-opened after extensive renovations, therefore it is the best time to visit this classy enclave.

And boy it was worth it! Great additions were made to enhance guest experience.

Menu is classic forward. Bar management paid extra attention to bringing classic cocktails to life, introducing the stories behind them in their own little twist. Another addition to the bar is barrel-aged cocktails, which’s achieved by keeping the drink in an oak barrel for some time. Only a handful of bars can offer such a unique approach to cocktail craft in Dubai. Occasionally there is live music during the evening. A large selection of the finest Cuban cigars are coming soon. During cooler months, the bar’s terrace is a great spot to enjoy views of Arabian Gulf while sipping classic drinks.

I’m told that Ritz Carlton’s all around the world have their own signature cocktails. These custom cocktails represent a particular hotel and region. I couldn’t resist ordering the Ritz-Carlton Dubai signature, Midnight Martini.

The cocktail is an interesting combination of American Whiskey and different citrus juices that come together beautifully. Dominated by citrus flavor, the whiskey shines through with an aftertaste that holds fresh grapefruit aroma.
