The “Allied ’45” – A Bartenders LimeAde


The Allied 45, a drink to honor Memorial Day, and the freedom to sit in the backyard and enjoy a sip in the sun.

1.5 parts Aviation Gin
1 part Luxardo Prugna Prune Liqueur
1/2 part Bittered Sling Clingstone Peach bitters
3 dashes Twisted & Bitter black pepper bitters
1.5 parts Cucumber Juice (Fresh/Peeled)
1 part Fresh Lime Juice
1.5 parts Honey Water (1:1)
Three leaves fresh black basil leaves

Parisienne Cucumber balls
Black Basil

Combine fresh juices, spirits, bitters and a few leaves of black basil in a cocktail shaker. Add large ice cubes. Hard shake for 30 seconds and double strain into sling glass, over ice. Add garnishes and serve.
To express the basil scent over drink best, give it a good spanking first.

This drink is herbaceous and vegetative. Fresh and citrusy.
It is ideal for sunny days.
